The centre
Our small long day care centre in Dunsborough has three rooms and a maximum of 50 children per day, so we can offer an individualised approach that promotes active learning, critical thinking and plenty of fun.
Our rooms
Babies
Our baby room enrols a maximum of 8 children per day. It has a separate sleeping room and a lovely undercover outdoor area that is bathed in morning light.
Toddlers
Our toddler room enrols 15 children per day. Glass sliding doors lead to an outdoor area, so educators can let children choose between indoor and outdoor play.
Pre-Kindy
Home of our Pre-Kindy program, coordinated and delivered by an Early Childhood Teacher who focuses on preparing children for their formal years of schooling.
Outdoors & excursions
Our large outdoor area is the ideal setting for children to explore and learn through discovery, while building the fundamental movement skills that are critical for coordination and gross and fine motor development.
All rooms take part in regular excursions to the local bush and beach, both within walking distance of the centre. These outings help children learn about environmental issues and build connections with their community and the natural world.
Food & nutrition
We provide morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a light snack after 5pm. We cater for individual allergies as well as religious, cultural and lifestyle choices, so please speak to our friendly team about your child’s dietary requirements.
If your child has a confirmed food allergy, please provide a GP-authorised Action Plan on enrolment.
Enrolment & fees
Choose full days, half days or casual days. We also offer 10-hour days so families can make the most of their Child Care Subsidy.
GEMS is an approved Child Care Subsidy (CCS) provider. To check your eligibility, visit myGov or call Centrelink on 13 61 50.
Fees are direct debited fortnightly. The amount is the difference between your Child Care Subsidy and our daily fee.
Two weeks’ notice is required to cancel an enrolment. If your child doesn’t attend during this period, government rules mean CCS can’t be claimed and full fees apply.
Fees are subject to change without notice. Talk to us about your care needs and we’ll help you find the right arrangement.
Make an enquiry or register your child online. Once we’ve received your registration, we’ll contact you to confirm your details and book your family in for an orientation tour. Please attach your child’s immunisation record and birth certificate.
